The scenery around the lake is worth the trip just alone. It is a favorite lake for many people paddling either a kayak or a canoe. The lake has a variable bottom depth ranging from very shallow to quite deep, 140 feet. It is a great Rainbow lake. The West Branch of The Little Spokane River enters the lake over some beautiful water falls. Bring your camera with you for some great photos. Launching a boat is easy because of the excellent public launch access. There is a speed limit of 5 mph on the lake, so there are no water skiers or jet skiis.
