ended up at Howard around 11am. sunny with light wind. only one boat on the water. wife started throwing a spinner as I worked a worm. black and blue spinner started catching dinks. worm no go as I went threw many colors. stuck a black worm on and whamo. the black worm produced 2 ten inchers from the first dock, slow biters. wife switched to worm and worked a black and blue worm with good results. all in all a good day fishing with about 20 caught.

Have you tried top water rapala's there? I had great luck last year in August-October there on top water and using diving minnows too. Perch color in size 5-7 seemed to work well. Lots of action and fished in afternoons until dark. I was getting 30-60 bass every time out there last year. Haven't made it out there this year. Hope those tips help. good luck out there.

have not tried a top water there yet this year. thanks for the info. I will give that a try. I have noticed the bass are become more active lately at howard. things should pick up with the forecasts being warm for awhile. thanks Jamesb I will go get those and give them some shots
