Decided to brave the predicted thunderstorms and arrived at Liberty around 11:30am. Took my father with me which made for a great afternoon and since there was only one other boat on the water, we pretty much had the lake to ourselves.
Medium sprinkle for about 20 minutes as we worked cranks and ring-tailed worms along the northern dock areas east of the launch. Got some pretty good bites on the crank and pulled out a LMB from under a dock on the initial fall of a worm.
Headed across the lake and started dropshotting ring-tailed worms off steep rocky structure. The rain turned pretty heavy but was still warm out so no issues. Ended up boating a really nice SMB that went at 2lb 14oz on 8lb test braid.
The rest of the afternoon had good activity and we would boat a fish often enough that it kept it exciting. Got off the water around 6pm and between the two of us, got between 15-20 fish with 5 going 1.5lbs or better. Water temps were around the 63F mark and all the larger fish we caught felt warm when we'd handle them.

Key learning: In rain, make sure to have bibs as my rain pants and jacket would let in water at the waist when I'd sit down to run the boat. Also, shoe covers or boots are important as well since wet feet could make for a miserable day if it were cold out.
