7/16/2014 9:48:00 PMSomeone apparently illegally planted or introduced them into the lake a few years ago. They are an invasive species and feed on the trout and Kokanee fry that WDFW plants. In some areas WDFW has a bounty on them. I hope it doesn't get to the point that WDFW has to rehabilitate the lake, but it may come to that some day.

7/17/2014 1:40:00 PMYa that lake has quite a few of those pesky pike minnows.usually nail at least a couple.I like the upper end of the lake for kokanee fishing.I go almost all the way to the end.Usually nail one or 2 decent size cutthroat as well.They also have mackinaw in there as well

7/25/2014 1:53:00 PMThe confusion is caused because the state changed the name of squawfish to "pikeminnow" to make them sound more aggressive. They are a native species and have always been in the lake. Thanks for the report.
