It was partly cloudy when we launched at 10:30am. My son caught 3 right off in our first spot. Then it died down. We moved about 3 more times and I caught 3 octopi. The last place was the key to our success. I had several massive tangles but once I got the jig in the water it was squid after squid.
I have never had a squid experience like this. Sent it down to the bottom and the line would go slack before it got there. In my video I saw that it was attacked by several squid before hitting the bottom.

My son got 3 on one jig. We had multiples of doubles. It was amazing. If I counted correctly, we had 92 squids.

There were some boats near us. As we left one boat slipped into where we were fishing. We left at 2pm.
