This was strictly a Reconnaissance trip to see if the lake had thawed out yet. The area around the public access and the south end of the lake has thawed but the rest remained frozen and unsafe.

My neighbor and I went to Liberty Lake for a couple of hours of fishing. We got as far as the launch and turned around to go back home. The wind had the lake whipped into white caps.
